- To prepare rules, regulations regarding advanced studies of MS/MPhil. and Ph.D. as per HEC policy and gets its approval from competent authority and statutory bodies to implement in the University
- For promotion of advance studies and research culture, to advise the authorities of the University,
- Prepare and submit report about the research degrees being offered in the University to the competent authority,
- Prepare and purpose regulations regarding the award of advance studies and research degrees.
- Appoint supervisors for the research students of MS, MPhil and PhD degree programs and to approve admission, titles and Synopses on different subjects.
- Approve and notify list of external examiners for MS, MPhil and PhD degree programs.
- Approve changes, modifications requested for change of title, supervisor, supervisory committees of the MS, MPhil and PhD degree programs
- Approve board of members for comprehensive examination of the PhD students,
- Recommend names of examiners to controller of examination for further process.
- Recommend incentives payment in form of “Research Productivity Award (RPA) for publications produced by faculty of the University,
- Recommend incentives payment to faculty for supervising the MS, MPhil and PhD students
- Perform such other functions as may be prescribed by Statutes of the University.
