Mirpur University Holds Election to Elect Senator for Constituency of Professor

Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur conducted Election to elect a Senator for the supreme body of Mirpur University under the constituency of Professor on Tuesday, October 04, 2022.

Election was held under Dr. Muhammad Irfan, Returning Officer assisted by Mirza Atique Ahmed Baig, Presiding Officer and Dr. Jahanzeb Khan, Polling Officer for the constituency of Professor.

Contesting Candidates of the Constituency of Professor for the Membership of University Senate are as follows : –

1. Prof. Dr. Faisal Riaz

2. Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussain

3. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal

Polling booth was setup at City Campus of Mirpur University in the Office of the Chairperson of Biotechnology.

Details of the eligible voters according to final electoral roll of Professor are as under :-

1. Total Voters = 12

2. Vote Polled = 12

3. Votes Rejected = 00

4. Correct Votes = 12

5. Voter Turnout = 100 %

Results declared by Returning Officer (positions) : –

1. Prof. Dr. Zafar Iqbal has risen to top position, with 08 votes.

2 . Prof. Dr. Rashida Hussain, stood at 2nd position, with 03 votes.

3. Prof. Dr. Faisal Riaz, at 3rd Position with 01 vote.

At the completion of the polling process, Dr. Muhammad Irfan, Returning Officer forwarded results of the election to the Office of the Registrar MUST for further process.
