MUST, Quality Enhancement Cell Briefed Faculities on Implementation Plan of IPE-Self Review 2021-22
Brig. (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younus Javed SI (M) Vice Chancellor Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur presided a Presentation Session which was briefed by Dr. Muhammad Aslam Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) & Dr. Azhar Hussain, Deputy Director QEC, on “Implementation Plan of IPE-Self Review 2021-22 of SARs for 58 Academic Programs within University as well as in Affiliated Colleges / Sub Campus 2022” and “Compliance of Self-Institutional Performance Evaluation – data required to compete for International Ranking ” on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 10:00 hrs in Electrical Conference Room of City Campus of the University.
Presentation Session was attended by the Registrar MUST, Dean Faculty of Natural and Applied Sciences / Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology, Dean Faculty of Social Sciences and Humanities, Director MUST Business School, Chairpersons / Coordinators, Director AS&RB, Director SAC, Director ORIC, Director P&D / PD, Chief Security Officer, Director NTC, Director Sports and Chief Librarian & Administrative Staff of Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC).
Director QEC presented IPE Review Committee’s recommendations, proposed responsible bodies & Compliance time frame.
Honourable Vice Chancellor stressed upon the revision of vision and mission of the University which are required to be altered accordingly to the emerging marketability and demands of modern age of science and technology.
Honourable Vice Chancellor directed for constitute the Committee to work out in-view-of the leading Universities of Pakistan- i.e. NUST, UET Lahore, CUST & forward the new proposal. Committee will be comprised of the following members :-
1.Dean Faculty of Engineering and Technology (Convener)
2. Chairpersons Mechanical Engineering (Member)
3. Chairpersons Software Engineering Nouman (Member)
4. Coordinator Department of English (Member / Secretary)
Director Quality Enhancement Cell (QEC) forwarded various recommendations of IPE-Self Review Committee for enhancement and uplifting of existing system i.e. Strategic plan for the futuristic growth of MUST to be formulated with input of all the stakeholders, Constitution of Research Ethics committee, preparation of faculty handbooks and arrangement of students’ orientation for the library resources at the start of each session.
On the culmination, Brigadier Younis Javed said in order to achieve greater progress in academic excellence, the University should make focused efforts by moblization all available resources. Vice Chancellor also announced various steps to conserve University resources and to promote austerity measures and in this regard detailed road map was shared which is to be followed by all departments of the University.
