MUST Holds Interactive Sessions of Faculty Members and Administrative Officers to Review Financial Health of the University
Treasurer Office of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur organised presentation session in Hall of Mechanical Engineering on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at 10:00 hrs to review current financial position of the University and discussed various proposals for financial survivability.
The session was chaired by Brig (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Javed SI(M) Vice Chancellor Mirpur University of Science and Technology MUST, Mirpur. All principle Officers, Deans, Chairpersons, Coordinators and Directors, faculty members and Administrative Officers participated in the session.
Prof. Dr. Muhammad khalique, Treasurer MUST along with Mr. Rashid Farooq, Assistant Director Budget, Mr. Qasir Niaz, Assistant Treasurer (F) and Mr. Nadeem Janjua, Account Officer presented the University financial health with help of multiple presentation.
Brig. (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Javed SI (M) Vice Chancellor MUST while addressing the participants shared steps which Administration has taken for optimal resource utilization, cuts on running cost of University and worked for resource availability across multiple categories. He further added that University has approached Higher Education Commission (HEC) and Government of AJ&K for allocation of funds.
In his closing words Brigadier Younis said that entire finance team is dedicatedly working around the clock to keep keep University financially healthy, moreover a Board will be constituted to ensure financial growth of the Mirpur University.
The presentation was followed by interactive sessions in which participants discussed prevailing financial position of the University and suggested ways and means to improve the University’s financial health and also proposed concrete steps to ensure financial sustainability by reducing the running cost of the existing system.
Presentation was held as per following sequence :-
1. First Session 10:00 – 14:00 hrs
Faculties of Engineering and Technology, Natural and Applied Sciences and Health & Medical Sciences.
2. Second Session 14:30 – 16:45 hrs
Faculties of Social Sciences and Humanities, MUST Business School, Veterinary and Animal Sciences and Administrative Officers of University Secretariat, Directorates and Centres.
