USAID's Higher Education System Strengthening Activity (HESSA) Delegation Visited Brigadier Younis Javed, VC MUST

Dr. Aslam Chaudhary, Professor of Economics at University of Utah, USA – Chief of Party of the Higher Education System Strengthening Activity (HESSA) – a United States Agency for International Development (USAID) along with HESSA Officials called on Brig. (R) Prof. Dr. Muhammad Younis Javed SI (M) Vice Chancellor Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur at MUST Secretariat Jari Khas on Thursday, August, 25, 2022 at 11:30 hrs.

Dr. Aslam Chaudhry, HESSA Chief Party, briefed honorable Vice Chancellor MUST on framework of USAID’s Higher Education System Strengthening Activity in Pakistan and future plans of it’s diversification. The HESSA Chief said subject project is of the Governments of the United States and Pakistan launched from the platform of USAID, the project aims to reinforce the country’s higher education system by capacity building of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

Brigadier Younis Javed thanked HESSA delegation for visiting & showing interest to provide technical assistance to Mirpur University, which will generally contribute in the Higher Education ecosystem of AJ&K. Vice Chancellor further said MUST belives in positive social interaction and exchange of technical assistance to boost existing academic programs of the Mirpur University.

The delegation was also briefed on academic and research landscape of Mirpur University’s, International Ranking and various other achievements on National & International Canvas. Delegation acknowledged tangible accomplishments of MUST & vowed to work in close collusion and cooperation.
