MUST Bhimber Campus Hosted Capacity Building Workshop on Role of Livestock & Poultry in Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation

Dr. Moshin Zafar, Focal Person Kamyab Jawan Markaz / Director SAC in collaboration with Faculty of Veterinary and Animal Science Bhimber Campus organized Awareness Seminar / Workshop for Capacity Building of Stakeholders having titled : ” Role of Livestock & Poultry in Economic Development and Poverty Alleviation ” on Tuesday, June 06, 2022.

Officials of livestock and Poultry Department Govt. of AJ&K, Dr. Muhammad Ajaib, Director Bhimber Campus, Dr. Abid Hussain, Coordinator FVAS, Dr. Muhammad Saim Hashim, HoD Department of Economics, Principal (R) Muhammad Afzal Chaudhary, Dr. Muhammad Shukat Chaudhary, Retired Director, Dept of Veterinary, Faculty Members, Students, around 20 farmers / groups of livestock and poultry farms and people from community participated in the event.

Guest Speaker Dr. Jibran Hussain, Associate Professor, University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Lahore, Ravi Campus Patoki delivered on Entrepreneur opportunities available both in Livestock & Poultry Sector. He urged the Students and native farmers to optimise their skills and widen the poultry and dairy production in the region.

Focal Person KJM highlighted the visionary role of honourable Vice Chancellor Mirpur University of Science and Technology to boost the aim of skilled manpower to fulfill the food and dairy demands in this sector. He also thanked faculty, Staff & Students for extending their cooperation in successfully organising the Seminar.

Event was culminated with distribution of Shields to resource Persons and organising committee.
