Roshaan Malik, Entrepreneur & Amazon Tranier Spoke to the Students of Mirpur University in the Capacity Building Seminar & Awareness Session
Department of Computer Science and Information Technology (CS&IT) of Mirpur University of Science and Technology (MUST), Mirpur organised free Seminar & Awareness Session on Amazon, financially aided by Directorate of Student’s Assistance Centre under Kamyab Jawan Markaz (SAC) and in collaboration with Mirpur Chamber of Commerce & Industry and supported by Network & Telecommunication Centre (NTC) & Directorate of Student’s Affairs, in the Hall of Mechanical Engineering, City Campus of the University on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 11:00 hrs.
Mr. Faisal Manzoor, President Mirpur Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) in his opening remarks highlighted important of emerging E-Commerce & electronic trading. President MCCI sponsored Amazon Training to acquaint youth with modern ways and means of Commerce.
Guest Speaker, Ms. Roshaan Malik, said Amazon lists 3.5 billion products on 19 Market places all over the globe. It became Trillion Dollars company in year 2018 having 100 millions prime members, 197 millions Monthly website visitors. She delivered comprehensive talk backed by presentation addressing all aspects of E-Commerce & it’s future prospects especially in Pakistan. In light of her personal experiences she advised how to avoid payments scams, phishing and spoofing as such issues are becoming common on the market places.
She explained on virtual assistance, first you hav to sell yourself first and next will be your product like famous saying “People buy from the people they like”.
Students asked questions to the Speaker to get clarity on trading techniques, procedures, best market places and areas to target using E-Commerce on Amazon.
