Academic Programs

The department offers degree programs, which are integration of basic as well as modern technologies. The department conducts the following academic programs

Undergraduate Programs:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, BS(CS)
  • Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, BS(IT)
  • Master of Computer Science, MCS

Graduate Programs:

  • MS (CS)

Eligibility and Selection Criteria BS(CS)/BS(IT)

A candidate is eligible to apply BS (CS) / BS (IT) program having any of the following criteria from recognized Board / institute with at least 50% marks in intermediate.

  • F.Sc. (Pre-Engineering)
  • F.Sc. (Pre-Medical)
  • Intermediate in general science (Mathematics / Statistics / Economics)
  • Intermediate in Computer Science (ICS)
  • Intermediate in Commerce
  • Diploma in IT / Electronics or equivalent to Intermediate

The merit for admission for BS (CS) / BS (IT) shall be determined as under:

10% Marks in SSC + 50% Marks in Intermediate + 40% Test

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Master of Computer Science (MCS)

A candidate is eligible to apply MCS program having any of the following criteria from recognized university/institute with at least 2nd division (45% marks).

  • Bachelor of Mathematics
  • Bachelor of Physics
  • Bachelor of Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Commerce
  • Bachelor of Statistics
  • Bachelor of Economics
  • Bachelor of Engineering
  • BA with Economics / Statistics / Computer / Mathematics

The merit for admission for MCS shall be determined as under:

50% Marks in Bachelor + 50 % Test

Eligibility and Selection Criteria for Master of Science in Computer Science (MS (CS))

  • BS (CS/IT) 4 Years Degree Program (min 136 credit hours), or
  • M.Sc. (Computer Sciences) or MCS / MIT 2 years degree program
